Versatile and dynamic, Catia Ojeda has appeared in both comic and dramatic roles on numerous television shows, movies and on stage. She was a series regular on the Emmy-nominated hit show Just Add Magic from Amazon Studios and starred in the feature film Closure, winning Best Actress awards from Austin Indie Fest and Marbella International Film Festival in Spain.
Along with her two younger brothers, Catia was raised in Mexico and Texas by her Mexican father and American mother. She moved to New York City at age 19 and earned a B.F.A. in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College. She quickly found work on TV shows such as Law & Order, 30 Rock, Fringe and Damages, as well as starring in dozens of national commercials. She continued to perform on stage in New York City and around the country, most notably starring in the Broadway National Tour of The 101 Dalmatians Musical, directed by multiple TONY Award winner Jerry Zaks.
Upon moving to Los Angeles in, Catia has appeared in films and on TV shows such as American Housewife, Grey's Anatomy, Hawaii Five-0, Criminal Minds, and Selena: The Series. She is a recurring guest star on Netflix’s Malibu Rescue and Apple TV’s Surfside Girls. She continues to appear on stage and was nominated for the prestigious L.A. Ovation Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Play for her performance in Theatre Banshee’s play Brendan. She is also a proud member of the Antaeus Theater Company.
Catia is also a writer and producer. She and her husband, writer/director/producer Alex Goldberg are co-owners and collaborators at their production company, 103rd St. Productions.
When she is not working she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, swimming, watching baseball, directing the school musical at her kids’ elementary school, or just hanging out with her husband and their two sons.
